For as long as anyone can remember, Vasper included, Vanpires have been taught to hate Daywalkers. Taught that they're dangerous and will use their fire gauntlet's to attack Vanpires. A tradition in the family of Vampires leader's that has been passed on, is that one heir is to be the next leader of their people. Vasper is the sarcastic and demure one between him and Victor. But like his older brother, he would love to leave his town to explore places and meet new people beyond Shadyside. Especially if that meant he could find others- anyone -out there he could connect with. So when their Aunt plans to get to the Orchard before the Daywalkers can, Vasper jumps at the opportunity to go with his brother and the Vanpires leaving Shadyside.
