Aleksandra is a girl who has been picked on for being different. Well, not really 'picked on', more like 'tortured and studied', but same thing, right? Anyway, things change when on her sixteenth birthday, she learns that her and her twin brother can read each other's mind.

ONE-SHOT: The Darkling dreams, right after the end of season one (Shadow and Bone). CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SEASON ONE This one-shot is based specifically on the show, as I did not read the books, so any information on it is based in what's known so far on the end of season one. Like the title implies, it has spoilers and information from the season one finale, so if you didn't finish yet, I recommend saving to read it after you do. I wrote it not long after finishing the season and it follows solely Kirigan, like a small stretch of what could've happened after the very last scene of the season.
