Dougie is a very famous musician and is finding it hard to deal with the celebrity lifestyle. Even after 12 years, Dougie still finds himself reminiscing of the times before he became famous. Before Dougie even got a taste of what fame was like, he didn't quite enjoy life and he got pushed around by bullies, made fun of and never really fit in but there was one thing Dougie really missed... His ex best friend. Dougie misses having summer by his side when the bullies would walk past and spit on him. Even though Dougie has tom, Danny and Harry, he still can't connect with them in the same level as he did with summer. Summer went through hell and back when Dougie left. Dealing with rumours, bruises and bullies all by herself. Part of her hates him for leaving her so abruptly but the other just wants to see him again. summer tried desperately to reconnect with her ex best friend until she realised how hard it is to get in contact with a celebrity, no matter how close they use to be... Summer would never dream of telling Dougie what really happened when he left, all the anxiety that built up inside her, all the panic attacks that took places and she would especially not tell him about all the hospital trips she had to go on. Not because she wouldn't want him to worry but because... 1) she'll never see him again to tell him. 2) she partly blames Dougie for what happened. 3) Dougie's lifestyle is so perfect that he probably wouldn't care that summer had a rough time anyway. When Dougie and summer finally meet again, will Dougie be too busy for summer? Will he not care? Will he not recognise her? Or will summer, still blame him for what happened? Will she keep her secrets close to her chest? Or will everything go back to how it use to be?
