Things are not all they seem for a group of artistic misfits at Robert Johnson Art School for the Gifted, a high school for kids who show promise in art and music, but who get into trouble elsewhere. When a troubled graffiti artist by the name of Jean-Michel has to move to Seattle, the city where the school is located due to some law trouble, he finally finds someplace he fits in. Life was pretty simple for Erik. He explored the coast with his bike, listened to his record collection, spent his afternoons with his two best friends and tried his best to avoid his slightly weird family. His biggest problems were Biology exams and not telling his crush that he had a crush on her. Or they were until his grandma decides to tell him the story of their family, a story about sirens, quite unnecessarily and completely out of the blue, thank you so much, grandma. Because life has suddenly become not at all simple, pretty chaotic and definitely crazy, again, thank you, grandma. He wished he could have remained blissfully ignorant, because he had a very bad feeling about this whole siren business and the suspicion that a major headache was on its way.
