Newt Scamander had always looked forward to attending Hogwarts. He couldn't wait to explore the castle and it's magical creatures. What he didnt expect, however, was to find a friend. The majority of characters belong to J K Rowling!

Based on the flashbacks of Leta Lestrange in the Hogwarts classroom from the movie Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. A what if story of Newt Scamander and Leta Lestrange following their first meeting, their friendship in Hogwarts, their eventual falling out, and their complicated romantic feelings for each other in their adulthood. Newt Scamander has loved beasts of every size and appearance since he was young. He lived on the country side away from civilization surrounded by Hippogriffs. His mother bred them and she shared her son's love of magical beasts. Newt knew everything there was to know about Hippogriffs, but he wanted to know more about the creatures that inhabited the magical world. But that was only the beginning. Newt will soon face the toughest challenge of his life: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Expelled. The word rang through Newts head, he had heard it, but the recognition just wasn't there. Expelled. Detention, he was expecting that. But we was willing. Detention for a week, a month, the rest of this godforsaken year, but expelled? A fantastic beasts story, mostly about relationships. It is about the breaking of one's heart and about slowly suffering all alone. But it is also about healing and being strong. There is always a little light in the darkness. A little hope in the darkest times.
