She came out of nowhere, as though the Sky opened and it showed her. And she fought alongside the Cloud Knights of the Xianzhou Yaoqing, as she was one of them. But, in the end, she didn't have a name, and she didn't even have a voice. She had one purpose, and that was to kill the Golden Enemies that once... once... As such, Jiaoqiu didn't trust her. And he didn't trust anything that was making her a human being. He had learned a few decades ago that trust was a dangerous thing, and it was more dangerous when it came to people like her, that appear in a blink of an eye and turn everything upside down. He had made peace with himself, with everything that made him now who he is. For decades, this was all that he hoped for, to find something that will bring his old-self back. But then, with just a look at her strings of her soul, Jiaoqiu knew, and more than that he felt, how something was changing. (I don't own the characters, rights belong to Hoyoverse/Honkai: Star Rail. When the light faded, Dan Heng found himself standing in a place that was both familiar and foreign. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flowers and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore. He blinked, trying to clear his vision, and realised he was no longer in the Conclave Hall. Instead, he was standing in the middle of a bustling street, surrounded by people dressed in traditional Xianzhou attire. "Where... are we?" March's voice came from beside him, her tone filled with confusion. Caelus was already on his feet, his eyes scanning their surroundings, "This... Looks like the Luofu. But it's... Different." Dan Heng's heart sank as he took in the sight. The architecture, the people, even the air itself - it all felt ancient, as if they had been transported to a time long before the Luofu he knew. His gaze fell on a nearby banner, its characters written in an archaic script. His blood ran cold as realisation dropped onto him. "We're in the past," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, "This is the Luofu... A thousand years ago." Before they could process the implications of Dan Heng's words, a familiar voice called out to them, "You there! What are you doing standing in the middle of the street?" They turned to see a man with long white hair and a confident stride approaching them. His grey eyes were sharp, his demeanour commanding, and his presence unmistakable. "Blade?" Dan Heng breathed, his voice tinged with disbelief. But this wasn't the Blade they knew. This was a younger (old?) version of him, his face unmarred by the scars of time and his eyes free of the hatred that had haunted Dan Heng's dreams. He looked... Alive. - in which the astral express crew found a mysterious time-travelling device in the xianzhou luofu and accidentally transported themselves, jing yuan, jingliu, and the stellaron hunters back a thousand years ago and met the high-cloud quintet.
