You all know Ratchet, the grumpy Autobot medic. You know he isn't exactly "on board" with humans around the base. Okay, Raf, Jack, and Miko could be an exception, and perhaps June Darby and Agent Fowler, if he was in one of his better moods, but if there was another human? No. No way. It could be one and a half stories. So when these two meet, which aren't under the best of circumstances, they might start butting heads (or helms, or both, or-you get the idea). Or they can have a guardian/charge relationship that they slowly build up to, even when one of them will respond to the other without a word. They form an incredibly close bond to one another, in fact it is rare that the two are ever seperated. However, life gets in the way. After Smokescreen joins the Academy to become an Elite Guard, and Bumblebee travels to Earth, the two lose contact. That 'first' meeting on Earth? Nah, how about a heartfelt reunion of two friends reuniting. But, are they happy to remain friends? - This will only be something short! Not a long story like Triple Agent.
