Sebastian Michaelis is a young psychologist in the midst of his life, who just graduated from university. Upon deciding what to do with his life, something strange catches his attention: a series of mysterious disappearances happening at Hanwell Asylum, just outside of London. Without fully understanding why, he feels drawn to the awfully ominous place and without even fully realizing it, he set his mind on working there, if only to find out what exactly is going on in the strange asylum. There, he meets Ciel Phantomhive; a delusional, schizophrenic and extremely dangerous patient, whom is believed to have lost all sense of reason. Yet, Sebastian feels that there's more to the young boy, his body itching with desire to find out what secrets lay hidden behind the emotionless face before him. From that moment on, Sebastian makes it his mission to save not only the asylum from the disappearances, but also the fragile child from the demons in his head and the walls trapping him in this hell.
