When the mist first appeared nobody suspected it would lead to humanity's downfall. Or that the last pieces of civilization would crumble. Many people had been awaiting this dark time. It was what they called 'the apocalypse'. Beforehand, talk of the apocalypse loomed amongst churches. There were those, of course, who did not foresee it. They were the ones who thought of the occurance as merely an apocalypse. Stephanie Watson was not much of a church-goer and was frankly apathetic about the havoc that would soon be wreaked. One being that when the end arrived we would know. Natural disasters would occur world-wide. Famine, drought, floods, the lot. But none of that happened. What happened was far beyond what anyone could have expected. Humanity was brought to it's knees.
