Eloise Mabel Berkett really doesn't know how her life came to be the way it was.

Born on the 3rd of October 1990, her story begins in a lane way.

Not a pleasant one either.

It was dark, it was dirty and it smelt of bad things happening. It was a place where troublesome teens and disreputable people lurked and loitered. With nothing but a letter she was never allowed to read, that is where she was left. In the shadow of a run down house, on the cold grey steps leading to the ill-lit front door, she would grow up to never have a real family.

When she was younger, she would have given anything to change that.

But something changed that.

Someone . . . changed that.
