When Emory Flinn gets accepted into her university's "Off-Shore Experiences" program, she's expecting a break from the chaos of her life back home. From the English farm she will be staying at to the quaint family she's been assigned to, it seems like it will be exactly what the program described. A relocation to a foreign country an Alumni is residing in for nine months, in which she will work on tasks paid or unpaid for the duration of her stay with a designated partner. The only problem: ... her partner. Nicolae Costea is a grade- A jerk, who has exiled himself from the rest of the class for as long as Rory can remember. He's got money, and he's not afraid to let people know. Not to mention his extremely forward sexual nature and bad habits. He's always showing off his athletic skills and flaunting his intelligence, and it's no secret that he thinks of himself pretty highly. He's the exact type of person Emory despises. Unfortunately, for the next nine months, Emory is going to actually have to live and work with him, and in order to complete her residency she's going to have to play nice. But living with Nicolae is more than it looks on the surface, and there's more to him than meets the eye. Something about him gives her an unsettling feeling, and that feeling may mean the difference in nine months and forever for Emory.
