Beverly Lagrange leads a normal life. She lives in the suburbs with her loving mother and supportive father, a little brother, and a cat named Charlie. She takes all grade level classes at her high school, never skips class or smokes in the bathroom like her two only best friends. She does her homework and meets curfew every night and eats dinner with her family. She really shouldn't be this sad, should she? ···························································································· Jade Hepler doesn't live the ordinary life she wishes for late at night. She lives on the top floor of a shitty apartment building with her abusive mother and overworked father, two big brothers and one little sister, and the stray dog that comes to the door begging for scraps every night. She goes to her high school when her brother is able to drive her and tries to manage all of her AP classes and avoid the dreaded bullies. She does her homework while at school, and works the late shift every night, barely able to see her sister and brothers. She has every reason to be sad, doesn't she?
