Suto Natsumi is already in her eighties when the letter from Canada arrives, in the afternoon of a spring day. She never thought that she would ever hear from him again - the person who was once the center of her world. The words written in the letter slowly pierce into her heart, as if to punish her for the ignorance she has beared onto herself for the past sixty years. Sitting under the cherry tree, Suto leans back and tries to fall into the memories of her adolescence that she planned to seal close forever in her mind. Long ago, in another afternoon in spring, she had been reading a letter under the cherry tree too. Everything seems the same, but you are not here, and I still am. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - If you like my story, please show your support by pressing "vote" and comment your feedback below! :)
