Death. Such a common concept, such inevitability. It is a simple part of the circle of life, and some believe it to be the start of a new one. And those few would be correct. Death can change a person, for better... Or for worse. For some, like Richard Grayson, it starts something far greater. Something far better. But for others... Let's just say that the criminal world is not quite the easy and lawless place the heroes think it is. Void. Once, just like everyone else. She was a child, always wanting to be a superhero. But death changed her life. The heroes always seem to be too late, and Void wants as little to do with them as possible. But when the mercenary [former apprentice and now occasional partner to Deathstroke] accepts a strange mission from an even stranger new client, she is forced to come to terms with her long standing grudge. The mercenary has three basic rules. One, she will never go after other mercenaries. Two, major heroes and villains are not to be targeted. Anyone else is fair game. Three, no killing. Everyone who gets her contact information from an information supplier is given this information prior to getting the information they asked for, and anyone who presumes she will break these rules for a higher price... Let's just say that Deathstroke is more than happy to help an ally like Void, especially given the circumstances surrounding her apprenticeship that ended four and a half years ago. --------- This is another fanfiction. However, this time I made a Young Justice OC, so bear with me. Void is an original character, but I do not own Young Justice, or any characters created by DC. Hopefully I update this more frequently than other books I have started. (*thinks of very long list of books by me and cringes*) Anyways, hope you like it!
