Mia Evian has to piece together the mystery of Zack Maddox, the bad boy whose life she saved, while simultaneously keeping her own crumbling life together before Zack ends up in trouble again - or worse yet, dead.

                                                                       *****

This is a love story.

When Zack Maddox, a notorious bad boy, meets Mia Evian, a nobody with a disdain for arrogant pretty boys, the two teenagers' lives are thrown into chaos. Zack is a mystery Mia can't unravel, and as her family is torn apart by her father's infidelity, her newfound thrill-seeking attitude is the only thing keeping her head above water. As Mia's behaviour turns increasingly reckless, Zack becomes the lifeboat keeping her afloat. Mia thought she had a good grasp of the world, but she's beginning to realise the people around her are far more complex than she could have ever imagined. Worse still, she may not be the only one who needs a lifeboat.

This is a love story - just not the kind you might expect.

                                                                       *****

One bet. One curse. Infinite lessons of love. GENRE: Mystery, Teen Fiction, Romance, Comedy, Thriller, Drama BOOK DESCRIPTION: Meet Jake Snyder, the ultimate playboy of Crosswell High. Handsome, rich, and dripping with sex appeal, he's a heartbreaker who doesn't believe in love-just in feeding his ego. Jake's dating history reads like a teen rom-com bingo card: the girl-next-door, the nerd supreme, the confusing bisexual, the overachieving perfectionist, the Queen Bee, the unpredictable homeless girl, the liberated exchange student, and even a wild ride with Siamese twins. But then there's Pepsi Lane. Just hearing her name makes Jake inexplicably thirsty, for some reason. He's gone to great lengths to capture the attention of this enigmatic girl, but her aloofness only fuels his obsession. Rumors say she's a witch, and that anyone who gets too close might turn into a dog. Others whisper that her soul is darker than her lipstick and eyeliner. But Jake doesn't believe in fairy tales. Pepsi is no ordinary girl; she's a force of nature, a whirlwind of mystery and magnetism. While Jake walks around like he's the puppet master, she's the one holding the strings... or is she? She tries her very best to remain cautious, but this only serves to further ignite Jake's determination to 'conquer' her. He will never accept defeat, and he won't stop until she gets on his list, even as things start to get unusual... What is the true story behind the mysterious freak? Will Jake risk everything for his ego? Could Pepsi be the one to finally change him? The infamous bad boy is about to uncover the truth, and it won't be a smooth journey for sure. Megan Stewart hasn't known much happiness. She's only 17, but her life has been hard. However, despite all that she's been through, Megan keeps a smile on her face. Meet Jared Wesly. He's the bad boy of the school. However, he's not so much a bad boy. He's simply misunderstood. Only, he's been through quite a lot, just like Megan. In fact, they have more in common than Megan knows. When Jared and Megan's worlds collide (quite literally), Megan finds herself drawn to the boy that annoys her to no end, teases her, but makes her feel happy and protected, something almost unknown to her. Megan must make a choice in the end: Does she take a chance with the familiar boy, or does he become another "What if?" in her life? NOTE: I first wrote this story when I was around 13-14, so there will be cliches and cringe-worthy writing at moments. *Caution: Some language*
