My pale complexion gave me a few nicknames throughout my childhood. A ghost, płatek śniegu which is snowflake in Polish, vanilla bean, and I was always know as Dollface. A porcelain China doll is the perfect way to describe me. I got used to the fact being called Dollface, my real name was Evie Zynda. Growing up in a polish family, the women had to clean and cook and nurture. I had to provide for my family at the age of 11. My family was poor (and still are), but we had a house and food. It was fully my decision to move to the States even if my papa disagreed. He didn't like change. It was my plan and future to move to New York and make a living of my own. But my papa wanted me to take care of my younger siblings and carry out the tradition of marrying a wealthy man and making my own family. I had no intentions of marrying a man. So I finally packed up my belongings and was gone the next morning without a trace of me behind. I needed to find out who I was. And if I had to move to New York and leave behind my homeland so then be it, I'll be selfish. I'm gone.
