This bewitching story follows the adventures of Barry Bennet, an orphan boy, who has no account of confronting the real world, barring his parish hometown of Painswick in Gloucestershire, England. He's lived countless nights and cold, november evenings wanting to take a leap - a leap that has been mended, caressed and harassed a million times in his own neural conjectures. One Christmas Eve, when the whole town is bustling around the annual Ice Waltz, he decides to transcend all boundaries, and runs away. He bolts as swift as he can, and unknowingly hits a bump that leads him to slither down a forest slide, which eventually tramps him into a frosted yew foliage. When he looks around, it all looks sane except a magical door that sneezes when a calico flower withers onto its tainted surface. It calls Barry and Barry as any sane person would do, gives a thunder loud scream, befuddles and topples on the foliage where he rested a few minutes ago. Waking up, he finds himself swinging in a leaf hammock, just by the door. "Eyy... Hello! I'm Berthswort. In case you don't know, I am the official entrance to the kingdom of Golem. I'm a wizard, not exactly, a door wizard... ehh... Whatever, maybe," exclaimed the door, and then a frightening thought struck upon him... "Umm... Are you human, Barry?"All Rights Reserved
