Delilah Gilmore was a normal girl just like everyone else in her small town. She would get up at 7:00 am to go to school, head to work at her local coffee shop at 4:00 pm, and finally, head home to her family at 8:00 pm.

Delilah's life wasn't that great, her father (Mark) was always drunk, abusive, and would be yelling all the time.

Her mother (Casey) would barely do anything about it because she was always too busy with her work calls therefore Delilah really only had her best friend Lea to talk to because the two weren't very popular in school.

Delilah never really believed in happy endings even after all the romance books she read where the perfect couple would live happily ever after, but one late night at 9:00 pm when Delilah was closing up the cafe for the night three strange men walked in wearing suits but only one man stood out to her between the three of them.
