This year 2022 we will celebrate Valentine's Day on a Monday. Ten days after Mismatched Socks Day, when we celebrated the beauty of diversity. As Drusilla Foer said Sanremo, to be different is to be UNIQUE. And being UNIQUE is very important in this world where we often tend to homologate with other people. I don't think, however, that we can use the term UNIQUE instead of the term DIVERSITY. It's true, as Drusilla says, there can be a distance when we define ourselves as different, but not always. And anyway, sometimes distance intensifies and enhances a feeling. The meaning of my words can be better understood when you think of a woman giving birth. During nine months she has carried within her another person, different from her but being INSIDE HER. Well, this diversity, at the moment of birth, becomes more distant from the mother because it comes out of her. The child, however, continually seeks contact and therefore this diversity becomes UNIQUE while remaining DIVERSITY. Diversity is unique and can be FAR OR NEAR depending on the person. It is our job, therefore, to be close to people despite their diversity from us. CinnaMom described it very well in the cover of "A gathering of tales from a Cosmopolitan family": a family composed of four animals all different in color, species and size but united in an hug, and above all smiling. As the rainbow brings together seven different colors, so the first book of the Wandering Writer wants to bring together in an embrace all those who will have the opportunity 'to read it. Happy Day of Love to all!
