Zia is a 16 year-old girl who lives in San Diego, California. Starting junior year at Westview High, Zia has neither high or low expectations. She never really been overly smart but she knows she smarter than average. She just wants to get through the year, period. Her life has never been that interesting, she's always had friends, but somehow feels lonely, she's not rich, but she doesn't have the luxury of buying whatever. She's literally, plainly average. No one knows how Zia is really struggling. It's been going on for a while, long before her parents got divorced a few months ago. Lucky for her, the divorce just piles onto the weight that carry's her around. If Zia has a life many would wish to have, why isn't she happy? She seems to want more and never have enough. This is the story of a plain average girl trying to figure out her mental issues, and if she even has them. During this time she finds out revelations of her friends, her love interests and her family during the divorce. As well as her almost suicide attempts.
