Already battling depression, 42-year-old Nick Labot feels his life couldn't get any more complicated-until he moves with his wife and two kids out to the country. Then things take a frightening turn for the worse. Overwhelmed by the extensive repairs the property is in need of and unable to handle it himself, Nick hires a handyman to do the work. On the surface the man is polite, charming and skilled, and the two men bond immediately. But when the seemingly ideal worker starts to exhibit concerning behavior, Nick comes to realize he's not at all what he appeared to be, and decides to let him go. The horror then begins as the man unleashes terror on Nick and his family, making them prisoners in their own home. And with no evidence for law enforcement to assist, Nick takes it upon himself to find out who the stranger is and what his motivations are-leading him to a shocking discovery.
