It was cold, way too cold for this time of year, and Lucy's poor legs trembled underneath her jeans shorts and "Freshman" tshirt. She was early, and they wouldn't allow her in the building until 8:00 AM. "Hannnnaaa! How are you?!" The sound of an overly dramatic greeting startled her as the orientation leaders started to arrive. Oh, how embarassing she thought to herself. The first one here and she'll be all alone with upperclassmen. Deciding to save her introverted self from the tortures of talking to strangers all on her own, she ducked behind a column and prayed they'd just stay in their little cliqué and never see her. And then she saw him. Tall, thin but athletic with dark wavy hair styled so that it appeared messy, but was definitely tamed by an hour of hard work. His smile could have solved world hunger. The charisma that radiated off of him was unfair on an entirely new level. In every way, he was the guy to avoid. He had "heart break" written on every square inch of him, and Lucy swore to herself she would never fall for him nor even give him the time of day. Of course, that was until 8:01 AM, when he called her name for his group.
