Alina has never been never happy. For as long as she can remember she has felt the pain of others. When she touches someone skin to skin or as soon as the sun dips behind the horizon she will feel either the pain of the person she touches, or the pain of everyone during the course of one day. She's used to it, thanks to that protective shell she builds. But then Eric comes along and makes her feel the one feeling that she has longed for since forever: innocence. And, God, it's sweet.
