Haven Lopez is unique. Lots say that about themselves, but as much as Haven hates it about herself, she embraces it. She sees what others don't. She questions the natural world, never stops seeking to hear untold stories. And her family hates her for it. It's hard being the only atheist in a Catholic family. Haven was raised to be perfect, caring, and, most importantly, understanding of God's infinite love. But that idea didn't last long. Haven turned her back on God, and although she will never regret it, her family constantly reminds her of the disappointment it brought. Jade Wright, however, is different. She, too, is alone in her wisdom and understanding of the world, but she ignores it. Buried far down, Jade hides it long enough to convince herself that she truly is the shallow, lazy person the world sees her as. What happens when two old souls are finally pushed together?
