Adelaide watched her friends even breathing and listened to the rhythmic beeping coming from the monitors behind her. She felt sorely out of place, like she wasn't meant to be there, and technically she wasn't. Through her clouded mind, there was a feeling of panic trying to break its way through. A screaming, terrified voice yelled but Adelaide didn't respond. Through the haze, she heard one voice shouting, and she could barely make out what the words were. Your fault. Adelaide couldn't wait for the day where she could finally graduate and get away from her parents prying eyes for once. She hoped that with her best friend, Sarah, they could get away from their depressing town and start somewhere new and exciting. She faintly hoped that Sarah would come to love her as Adelaide loved Sarah, but that only seemed to be a distant dream. One night, fear of the future and pressure from her parents gets to be too much. Having spent her entire life following the rules Adelaide decides to have one night of fun for herself, and calls the one person she knows will follow her to the ends of the earth. Sarah agrees without hesitation, and Adelaide hopes to begin a night of freedom. However, Adelaide is not prepared for the consequences that occur from this night.
