I was gasping for breathe. Pulling in air as hard as I could but I still couldn't get enough air. I had run this course before though and I knew that I only had 400 meter left. I felt weird, different. I wasn't used to feeling this high intensity of pain. Oh god. I squeeze my eyes shut for a moment and then open them again. I can't risk tripping. I promised I would give this race my all. This is everything. Maybe this will stop my...Shut. Up. I push myself even more and a wave of pain shoots through my entire body. I let out a little shout. I could see the finish line. I can get there. I can make it. Something was dripping down from my nose. My nose was runny, weird. I was only probably 100 meters away from the finish when an overwhelming amount of exhaustion slapped me in the face. I stumbled, slumping downward for a moment. NO! I could do this. I was so close. Black spots started to dot my vision and my head pounded, and within my next few steps. Nothing. Blackness. I didn't even know if I had made it.
