The Mundaka Upanisad, which occurs in the Atharva Veda, consists of 64 mantras divided into three chapters (mundakas), each of which is subdivided into two cantos (khandas) What is that knowing which everything else is known?'- asks this Upanisad, and proceeds to answer the question, with the classification of knowledge into lower (apară) and higher (parā). It provides the key to unlock the door to the knowledge that takes us from the unreal to the Real, from darkness to Light, and from death to Immortality. To get the key to freedom, all we need, is to 'take up the truths of the Upanisads and live up to them.'
