Isabel Montero is the young owner of a renowned Swiss art gallery, she often travels around the world in constant search of objects and collaborates with the prestigious Christie's auction house. A Venetian patrician, Tommaso Van Axel, asks her to evaluate a painting by his ancestor, Lucrezia. The sad lady will appear to her repeatedly in a dream asking for help. Isabel will accept the assignment and will travel to Venice at the height of the carnival, thus finding herself at the center of an adventure that mixes past and present, logic and paranormal, feelings that have an echo in the present and an inexplicable theft of paintings.
