His hand disappeared through Milo, as intangible as the wind. Milo gasped and spun around, his eyes looking everywhere but into Nick's own. Then he took a deep breath, turned around again, and faced the forest in a silent standoff. Rays of sunlight specked the path, inviting the kids back in. Every sound stilled into silence. Nick opened his mouth for air and found that he couldn't breathe. Milo, his best friend, couldn't see him. Couldn't hear him. Couldn't touch him. Milo, set on a mission, goes back inside the alluring yet deadly forest that he and Nick so narrowly escaped. Nick can do nothing but follow him, because Milo can't see or hear him. He might as well be a ghost. (The cover page is a Picrew by @andi_aqua_)
