It was a sickeningly warm day in King's Landing when John MacTavish -- King's ward, Heir to Winterfell -- heard the news of his father's death. But there was something amiss, as instead of being given escorts to see him safe and sound to Winterfell, he was being kept in King's Landing until further notice. Honey coated poison words and a warning from a trusted ally left him no other choice but to make a run for his home.
    
    King Shepherd's favourite tracker Ghost thought it was easy money to find a castle bred brat and deliver him back, until he was told the man's true purpose: Demise of said castle bred brat. Now faced with the choice of either helping the kid or the man who wanted him dead, Ghost found it somewhat easy to pick the right one. Even if the recipient of his help seemed to be ungrateful for it.
    
    Kingsroad was long, the road they were on dangerous, but they both had too many things to learn. Both about themselves and each other.
