Alice Bell is an ordinary high school girl who just wants to be extraordinary. Her small town, mediocre grades, and oh-so-slightly outcast social status leaves her on the fast track to a boring future, and she wants out. She gets her chance when one day, a mysterious girl offers her a choice: stay an absolutely uninteresting teenager in an absolutely uninteresting world, or become someone special and do important things for humanity itself. Unfortunately, the choice isn't quite as black-and-white as it seems, and once you've decided, there's no going back. (This is the beginnings of an old story I started in middle school. Against my better judgement, I'm not deleting it.)
