In a post-apocalyptic society, it is every freaking girl for her every freaking self. They've long since killed off all the men for food and nobody seems to realize that without them, they'll all go extinct. Katherine only has glimpses of her old life. She sees her mother's warm face. Her mother is dead. She hears her sister's laugh. Her sister is dead. She smells her cousin's perfume. Her cousin is dead. She feels her aunt's silky dress. Her aunt is dead. She tastes her grandmother's cookies. Her grandmother is dead. But, she remembers nothing about her brother, her father, her grandfather, or her uncle. She can't. It's all been wiped away somehow by somebody. She remembers things about what men are, sure, but nearly nothing. When she finds someone she shouldn't, she'll uncover answers that anyone else would kill for.
