The year is 3000. He sighed while getting up from the kneeling position he was in to finish my tie. "You wouldn't understand. You're too young." Taking a few steps closer for he walked away, I reply, "I may be sixteen but I am a certified genius." I tap my temple, "My IQ is 240, remember?" My uncle turns back to face me, a slight grin failing to mask the guilt in his eyes. He sighs, "I know, I know. You're a true miracle." He messes up my hair while walking into the kitchen. Smoothing my hair, I follow him, "Then why won't you tell me? Please? It's not like you time travel or something." I can see his back stiffen as I look up from my hands in my pockets. "Y-yeah... right..." Raising one eyebrow, I walk in front of my one and only family member. The one person I know I could always go to when feeling down or stressed. "You're not... right?" I start pacing. Back and forth, back and forth. It always seems to calm me. Uncle agrees for he has the same habit. "There are way too many variables. Way too many possibilities of you slipping up and getting caught." I state calmly. Inside though, I'm freaking out. Uncle sighs and sits down at one of our miss-match kitchen chairs. "Where do I even start...?" I look up from my sneakers, "From the beginning."
