♡-ˏ✎ DREAMS ꒱

As usual, the curly haired brunette was sat on the bus - his feet resting on the roughly cushioned seats, as he back was pressed against the window. He wore a dark green trench coat, a black and grey plaid button up and white shirt - though it was harder to dechiper what he was wearing (other than the coat) due to his knees being tucked up to his chest - showing his dark grey, almost black, jeans and scruffy trainers, instead.

A glass globe rested on his hidden lap. To unwelcomed eyes, it merely looked like a snow globe that was without a stand; a misty ball with little grains of snowy rice and confetti styled cutouts of feathers, golden coins and small chains. The centre piece, instead of being some sort of landmark or home, was a boat. An old fashioned boat, that you'd use with oars. What seemed to upset the man was that he seemed to be unwelcomed eyes, now. He didn't see the mist thicken and turn a ghastly blue, before clearing to a distinct feed of whoever had the other globe, when he shook it. No, he saw a childish swirl of decoration instead. Did breaking a wing really sever ALL ties to the underworld?

“Wow,” she mumbled, her look one of pure awe and adoration. “That must’ve been tough- I didn't think the Gods would come here!” she exclaimed, looking up at him with a bright and curious expression, this time. However, her cheeks turned a light pink as she looked away, flustered. She had mentioned their connection, but she still felt flustered by that. “Yeah… our connection,” she mumbled, slowly looking up at him, “I’ll be open about stuff.” As he spoke, she only nodded, averting her gaze while she took his other hand, gently squeezing it. “I wish not talk about my powers. They were always a subject of such disdain while I was a youth. All I can do is hold a ball of light- it is not much…” she muttered, starting to bite at her lip while she played with his hand.

Softly, she giggled, giving him an Eskimo kiss, “That makes two of us, so we can experience this together, then,” she hummed, resting her forehead against his while she closed her eyes. “My first husband wasn't much of a husband, so I know what isn't healthy in a relationship.” Emery laughed with him, smiling brightly, “Well, I’m sure whatever you shall say will make me flush.”

Erwin nodded softly - smiling seeing as she hadn't reacted badly. "Yes, I am." He replied, "The friend I left the underworld to help was a goddess, but she was with a group of demigods." Erwin explained softly - his smile growing a little at her snuggling, looking to her. "I do appreciate it, but I feel as if its important for us to be open and honest - especially with what you said earlier, about our connection." He rambled, gently holding her hand as well, looking from their fingers and to her, instead. "Emery, I do not believe that your gift is useless. Without light, nothing can live. Life depends on the light its given - both literally and metaphorically. Most, including your village, have taken advantage of that." He told her softly - an almost saddened look to his expression.

The colouration to his face only grew as his green eyes flickered to her hand, naturally leaning into her touch. "Well, I haven't had such a connection before, and I am a little older than I look, so this is a bit new to me." He explained quietly. Though, Erwin did chuckle, "I shall think of something."

Her eyes widened with awe as she slowly nodded, “So, you're a Demi-God, then? And the son of Thanatos?” she inquired, tilting her head to the side. “I always thought that Demi-Gods existed and stuff,” she added, mumbled while she snuggled up to him more, seemingly unfazed by the thought and unchanging in her behaviour towards the man. However, she sighed, shrugging slightly while she looked up at him, “Still; I don't wanna do that. So, if you do get uncomfortable, tell me? Or- you don't even have to answer any question and stuff,” she rambled, starting to play with his fingers instead of the grass, seeing as she was snuggled up to him. Though, she quickly made the light disappear, it seeming to mould into her hands, similar to how it had been formed. “I’ve only been helpful with my gift a few times; back in my village, your social status was decided by your gift. My family was known to have powerful gifts but when their youngest daughter seemed to have something so useless compared to the rest, they married me off as soon as they could,” she mumbled, averting her gaze with an ashamed expression.

A soft giggle left her lips when she saw his pink cheeks, causing her to gently cup one of them, “You’re all pink,” she stated as she snuggled into his hold more. “That does mean a lot to me, Erwin,” she hummed, closing her eyes with a content expression and a happy smile, but did laugh softly at his last comment. “Hm, if you want to ~,”

♤˗ˏ✎ LAVENDER ROSE PETALS ꒱

➻ The morning sun gently filled the room with a golden glow; the walls were a light cream colour - decorated with wooden shelves (the clutter ranged from trinkets to plants - that overflowed their smaller pots). There was a wardrobe placed by the white door to the right, leading to the bathroom. To the left was another white door - leading to the rest of the house. The coffee coloured carpet was decorated with last night's clothes.

The man, that was still snuggled up in the fluffy, white duvet, groaned quietly, shifting onto his side as he began to stir. "Good morning." The brunette groggily greeted - lazily peeling an eye open to look at the woman laid beside him, offering her a small, brief smile. A little bit of last night was a blur, but he remembered most of it.

His reply caused her to smile faintly, as his, almost, reassurance that they would eventually get close enough for it seemed to make her happy. She enjoyed it, actually- the thought of finally getting close to someone after all the time she had spent on the mortal plane; she finally had the urge to befriend someone- or more. However, she rolled her eyes at his teasing comment, softy laughing, “Sometimes you just gotta teach them how to,” he shrugged, glancing at him slightly, “I never really hung out with people; in high school, I always focused on my studies.” Once again, she softly laughed, but shrugged this time, shaking her head at his question. “Uh- no, I don't really like dancing. Honestly just wanted to get out for once,” she sighed while she looked up at the ceiling, “Do something other than work.” Her smile grew as she looked over him, still being propped up on her elbows, “Great, perfect, sounds like a plan?”

His joking demeanour only made her laugh more, especially when he joked about either of them being a killer. “I swear, I’m not. Hell, I don't think I could really hurt a fly,” she replied, shrugging again as she started to play the wrinkles from the duvet under them. “Ah- yes, it can be at times.”

Soft giggles left her lips as she poked his cheek, “You’re blushing, Toby~,” she teased, continuing to laugh quietly, although when she retracted, she gave an almost sheepish expression. She just met this person, and she didn't want to seem like she was so desperate for a connection- even though she was- that she’d be over-the-top flirty; she didn't fully understand how she felt about Toby and the thought of pursuing a relationship, platonic or not, scared her. Being with a mortal scared her. “I did, that I did. But, still! I threw multiple pieces of clothing away from you last night, so I made up for it this morning!” she teased, giggling softly.

Toby gave her a confused look, but he didn't push nevertheless. Instead, he just nodded, offering her a small smile instead. "Okay, I look forward to hearing it." He replied, wanting to imply that they would get close enough for her to share it and feel comfortable. He didn't want to be insensitive at all. Though, at her reply, Toby sighed - a playful scowl or pout playing to his features. "Y'know what they say, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." He teased, "C'mon, I'm sure we can find you something. You were at a club, so do you like dancing?" He asked, tilting his head to the side, which looked a little strange as he was laid down. But, he did faintly smile at her reaction to his rambles. "Of course - and yes, you driving sounds like a good idea. I don't know where your campus is." He laughed, before he dramatically huffed, placing his hands on his chest.

He laughed, sitting up. Toby raised his hands defensively as he let out a small laugh, "Hey, I don't know if you're a killer or not, you don't know if I'm a killer - I mean, I'm not - but it's fair play either way." He joked, but paused to listen to her explaination. His smile grew less entertained and moreso a slight look of awe. "Touché, touché, it does sound rather taxing, though."

His face grew pink, an almost smitten or coy smile playing at Toby's lips as she caressed his cheek - in a manner - and even moreso at her words. Though, as quickly as it came, it fell - unsure of why she was switching around her actions so much. She was being flirty, so what was wrong with /that/? - Was it too genuine? But, regardless, he quickly reciprocated the teasing behaviour with his own playful reactions. "Well, you also threw your cardigan at me, as well. So, that doesn't sound that even to me." He teased, a small grin on his features like he was proud of his remark - slightly leaning towards her, as if to emphasise it.

A soft sigh left her lips, “Maybe- Maybe when we get closer, I’ll tell you what I meant by that,” she mumbled under her breath, knowing she could never tell a mortal what, or rather who, she was, but she could always hope. “I guess I just have too much free time to know what to do with it. I truly only focus on work and my studies,” she replied, smiling at his rambles, “It does mean a lot that you care, though.” However, she did hum, her smile turning into a smirk as she shrugged once again. His expressions never seemed to fail to make her smile, which was something that was growing on her, that's for sure. “Great- I could drive us? And no~, I’m totally not teasing you again!” she giggled, sitting up slightly so she could look over him.

In response, she scoffed, rolling her eyes, “Toby, I’m a detective! I look at dead bodies for a living!” she exclaimed, faking a hurt look before she began to laugh again. “No, I don't kill them, I figure out how they were killed and convict the person who killed them if it's a murder,” she explained with a shrug, seeming to speak with her hands as well. To correct him, she sat back on her elbows, “Actually, it is legal- Google is free and what if I did taxidermy? Which I don't, but still-”

A sigh left her lips while she shook her head, “I highly doubt I’ll forget you,” she muttered, her thumb gently gracing his cheek before she immediately withdrew from him. Her cheeks were a faint pink while she looked away, “Uh- yeah, yeah, I was just teasing you again,” she replied, though did laugh at his further comments. “Well, I’ve thrown one at you and one away from you, so I think it's pretty even!”

♤˗ˏ✎ ERWIN ;  2048

The man clutched a fistful of his light brown curls - the strands of hair moreso flat waves due to the slight build up of grease. It was hard for him to take care of himself when he'd lost /her/. He did the bare minimum; he ate what was quick to make, fill up on coffee in the mornings and typically whiskey at night - which was most likely why his head stung so vividly. The lights peering through the thin curtains feeling like daggers to his eyes, a hammer gently thudding against his forehead. He took a deep breath, grasping his small burner phone - squinting to see the tiny screen, cussing at how difficult all of this was. Erwin knew he wanted out of this place, as lovely as Nymwah was to him, it was just too soon. He doubted that he'd ever be ready, again.

The only person he could think of calling was his mother in law. He knew he probably made a poor impression with one of his father in laws, and the other talked too much. He was too hungover to deal with either.

He forcibly pressed down onto the buttons with a small groan, trying to ignore the concerned questions from the Vexter perched in the opposite corner of the bathroom. The brash rings from the cell phone, awaiting for an answer only made the pounding in his head become louder. Harsher.

❛❛Fuck..❜❜ Erwin winced, squinting his eyes closed as he reluctantly put his device up to his ear, Sylvester realising that this wasn't the time (regardless of his worry) and instead piping down. ❛❛Please pick up. Please.❜❜ He mumbled, gently loosening the grip on his hair.

Erwin's smile grew as he chuckled slightly, ❝I'm not quite sure,❞ He replied, gently pulling away to peck her hands, ❝I've just missed you.❞ Erwin mumbled softly. However, his expression quickly fell upon hearing her rant and seeing her expression. ❝Beloved, we're fixing this, so you won't lose me.. You're not being punished, you haven't lost me and you won't.❞ He spoke, softly yet sternly. Erwin gently reached out to cup her face, using his thumb to delicately stroke her cheeks and discard her tears. ❝You've done nothing wrong, so nothing wrong is going to happen, okay?❞ He mumbled softly.

Erwin smiled softly, nodding. ❝I won't touch them around anyone, then, Beloved. I'll be careful, I promise.❞ He reassured her, after listening to what she said - though did seem to ease up even more, finding the embrace and snuggling comforting. No, it was bliss. It was like her old hugs, but better, because of the fluffy blanket around them. His arms gently tightened around her, humming softly, ❝Aw, Beloved, you'd do that for me?❞ Erwin asked, in a light hearted tone. However, his expression sublty fell at the newfound distance between them, before it was quickly replaced with a chuckle, ❝Beloved, I'd be just as wigged out if he saw us doing that - and he's been in my body how many times, now?❞

❝Well,❞ He began with a hum, ❝I'm glad to hear that you've gotten some earlier memories back, and I'm more than happy to go through our memories.❞ He told her, with a gentle expression. ❝Sylvester is actually the one that got us together - not sure if you remembered that, yet. But, that was interesting.❞ He added, with a faint laugh.

At Emery's suggestions, he nodded softly. ❝That makes sense, Beloved. I think I can do that.❞ He replied quietly, pecking her cheek, ❝I'll be quick, I promise.❞

“Do you want to leave the truck at Marcy’a and then transport it to the cabin once we know for sure it's safe?” she asked, tilting her head to the side while she thought. “Yeah! You could do that- it would be easy to do with your job too!” she answered, but did sigh at it. “But, it could also be risky- I think you should move your truck to Marcy’s for now; maybe we could have her move it when we find a cabin?”

His smile caused her own to grow while she continued to wipe away any stray tears. Although, she paused, tilting her head to the side, “Why are you thanking me?” she questioned quietly. Hesitantly, while he took her hand, she had stopped biting at her thumb, a habit which she had picked up from Bronwyn; she mumbled a quiet apology. Softly, she sighed, averting her gaze while she shook her head, “But it's not fair! Why do I have to suffer through losing my lover when all I did was be formed by a Gods damned black hole! I've never done anything bad- I always did what I was told, I always did my duties- I never disobeyed! Why do I have to suffer?!” she exclaimed, starting to pace as she spoke- crying too.

Her face was still red, and she looked away from him, “You can only touch them when it's just us around- I’m not used to having wings, so they're more sensitive than the typical Avian wing,” she explained, her wings wrapping around him more as she began to snuggle up to him. “We could live wherever we wanted- If we went up north, my wings could keep you warm,” she muttered, resting her head on his chest with a content expression. Though, she quickly pushed away from him with a flushed expression, “Gods, I would hope not!” she exclaimed, covering her face, “I don't want him to see me like that!”

Her demeanour changed, brightening as she smiled, “Thank you...” she mumbled, putting her head on his chest. “Bronwyn’s helped me a lot with my early memories when I moved in with her, but I only remember bits and pieces of our relationship. The array of murders had not only been disturbing due to the close intervals, but also because of the gruesome scenes left behind - and arguably what was worse was the pattern to them. They would've originally have been discarded as poorly done break-ins, if it wasn't for the repetition of these events. The door was either forced in or a window broken; the house turned upside down for goods; the bodies left carelessly and disregarded in a bloody mess.

When approached, Slenderman had of course allowed his daughter to investigate on his lands, with the promise of her safety (which of course, wasn't needed to be stated). Though, the faceless creature had seemed adamant in the fact that his minions had nothing to do with such "messes". However, this statement was still overshadowed with how much he would continuously remind her of the boundaries, and how easy it would be to get lost in the dark.

That was exactly how it was at the moment. An ensemble of evergreen trees towered the dusty dirt paths - their leaves becoming millions of needles and spikes protruding from their scrawny limbs. Their shadows, cast by the silver, crescent moon in the sea of navy sky, only darkened the path - making the interstellar object the only source of guidance. And even then, it was like the forest's owner tried to abolish it with the misty clouds that'd slowly pass by. Not only that, but there were unpredictable attacks from the ground; buttress roots sprouting from the floor and creating deathly loops before crashing back into the cracked, dried dirt.

The worst thing in this situation was, not to be alone, but to have unsuspected company.

To which, Bronwyn unfortunately did the closer she wandered to the demon's territory.

Soft laughs continued to erupt from her; her smile grew as a result, too, “Y’know what, that’s fair, my Love,” she hummed between her laughs, gently pecking his lips. Happily, she leaned her head against his shoulder, finally feeling contentment since she found him- life had been stressful since the fire. Quietly, she sighed as her smile fell, “Alex can manipulate emotions towards certain memories and such. Dad thought it was useful and trained him to master it- without that training, it would be a useless power. Though, she froze, furrowing her eyebrows, “Dad’s- Dad’s been alive for millenniums. I wanna say maybe ten or eleven- I don't know. I do know I am /very/ young for an Operator, but I’m also half human. So, I don't know how long I’ll live- Dad’s convinced I’m the only human hybrid Operator,” she answered, but did grumble at his other response. “The younger an Operator learns how to control them, the stronger they’ll become... What if I missed out on that?” she began, but did pause at his pleading expression. “Maybe... Maybe you're right. There's just a lot I don't know, so we can't come to a full conclusion.”

Bronwyn rolled her eyes, “Toby- a few of those ‘buddies’ are close to me, like what I would consider my godfathers,” she grumbled, crossing her arms slightly. Her expression fell into one of guilt, “I’m sorry... Just- if we want to be a normal couple, kids are pretty much out of the question. I don't want our bloodline to be mixed in with Zalgo- especially because of the wars and then we’re Operators-” she rambled, giving him an apologetic look. At his retort, she giggled, cupping his cheeks while pecking them, “A bitch worth more than any fortune, that's for sure.”

Her response only earnt a small scoff from him, a playful one at that. "I'm still a master at something. And that itself is something!" Toby proudly announced, with a brighter, cheeky smile. Toby had never thought he'd have a relationship like his own with Bronwyn, again - so to be with her, laughing and joking and holding one another was like a nostalgic dream come true. With a gentle peck to the forehead, Toby's expression fell once more. "I mean- was Alex that strong?" He asked quietly, sighing as her eyes left his. "Winnie. How long do Operators live? I bet you're still young for one. Don't beat yourself up for having your powers neglected." He told her, giving her an almost pleading expression, wanting to reason with her negativity.

"And I'm pretty sure I'm a less well known case, now. One attempted murder, versus the tens of good knows what that your father's buddies bring in." He mumbled. Though, at her poor reaction, Toby sighed as his brow furrowed. "You think I don't know that? It's basic knowledge, I'm not an idiot." Toby replied, almost in an annoyed whisper, his gaze now stuck to the floor. Though, as horrible as he felt, a part of him did cheer up at her comment, "Well obviously a bitch worth something." He retorted, nonchalantly.

In response, she rolled her eyes, “Yeah, mhm- but, a master would still know more than just dirty jokes. So, in hindsight, you're just the master of dirty jokes,” she teased, laughing softly, but did hum when he started to sway, to which she did as well. To say she was content and happy was an understatement; she was beyond ecstatic that she had been reunited with one of the people she loved the most. Though, she did quietly sigh, keeping her gaze down. “But- I-” she stammered, sighing again while she nodded. “Maybe you're right and that's why he didn't want to train me. Maybe he was scared that I’d use my powers against him? That I’d take down what he's built...” she mumbled, leaning into his hand more, and now refusing to meet his gaze, almost ashamed- in a way. “I’m an Operator who’s twenty-two and the only thing I know how to use is my mind powers and this charismatic bullshit-” she rambled, glaring at the floor beneath them.

Though, she did nod at his question, “Yeah... Frank was trying to get rid of any leads or evidence we had of you still being /alive/. You're still a wanted criminal for arson and attempted murder- but, it could easily be changed to self-defence,” she explained her answer, furrowing her eyebrows in thought. Although, his response caused Bronwyn to push Toby away, laughing softly. “That’s because your soul is bound to him. He thinks that by having his proxies prioritise their romantic relationships, they’ll have /children/. Anyone who has blood relation to you that you help create can and will be tied to Zalgo if he so pleases,” she explained, crossing her arms with a sigh. “It's what he does, Toby...” she began, but did smile at his words, “Well, you were a bitch to find, that's for sure-” she teased, somewhat.
