Shadow pet Storm who was sporting a new glow in the dark collar. She looked a lot more panicked than usual and jumped at any loud sounds and refused to go near the water or forest. She had been like that ever since she got back. At night everyone in the cabin could hear her screaming and crying so she stopped sleeping so they didn't have to wake up to screams. No one knew what happened to her during her week where she was gone. Whatever she had seen had left her broken.

Shadow snuck out of the Apollo cabin and went to the docks. No one was there because it was night. She slowly climbed in holding onto the dock not letting go. It was a nightly routine. Trying to teach herself to swim.

Shadow returned to camp after a week away. Her and Storm looked tired, injured, and hungry. First thing she did was find all her family and hug them. She was very tired, starved, dehydrated, and injured.

Shadow packed up her bag and grabbed Storm’s vest and leash putting it on her. She went to the edge of the forest and took a deep breath. Then she walked in, and for once, she didn't look back.
