i am in complete awe at loreen for making the exact type of music that hits my soul. the percussion, the arabic instrumental undertones. gahhh, those are the sounds of my childhood, of home... the feeling and not the place, and still hit right where they should. it makes me float, makes me smile unconsciously, makes me connect with that authentic part of myself that is deeply rooted in my soul and can never be changed-- the family, culture and background i was born into. kudos to her for going deep and involving her roots and drawing me in yet again. but, of course, because everything she touches and shares with us is the reddest form of gold.
