I hate how an author will just drop that a character is black and just expect us to be like oh realize this character is black. Like they don’t drop any characteristics, no descriptive words to give us any clues like their hair or their skin tone. Nothing to describe her family her ethnicity where she’s from it’s nothing and then they’re like oh yeah she’s black. And they’re surprised that we are shocked when they didn’t give us any clues to realize that she is. Especially when it’s different from their white characters and you feel like it’s not planned, it’s just spur of the moment kind of thing.

Yes, you are missing some things. Israel is actively mass genociding the people of Palestine. They are actively stealing their land and reducing their population. Palestine had tried peaceful acts of protest and every time, they are met with violence. The Palestinian people have been terrorized by Israel, since the birth of Israel, which was around 1948, meanwhile Palestine and its people have been around for 1000s of years. This conflict has been going on forever, since Israel keeps stealing more and more land. There are bunches of Palestinian people in concentration camps.
