Hey guys. I just wanted to hop on here and chat a little bit about the upcoming changes to the content moderation and the content guidelines for the age of consent for characters in the stories written on here. I've seen a lot of backlash against Wattpad itself for this, where the content guidelines will be raising the age of consent in stories to 18+ and that anything sexual may not explicitly happen with characters under the age of 18. However, it seems to me that people do not understand why these changes are happening or just what is going on at all, so I wanted to explain some things about all of this.
          
          1. Wattpad still allows mature content to happen between characters under the age of 18, just that it isn't explicitly written out. The author can allude to sexual acts between two characters as long as it's not described in any way. However, content with written sexual acts between anyone under 18 is prohibited. 
          
          2. Why now, and why this stuff in general? Wattpad is a Canadian company, and lately, the Canadian government has really been trying to crack down on child pornography and online harmful material. The New York Times states that this bill that Canada has recently passed is specifically "for content deemed to be child sexual abuse or intimate photos and videos shared without consent." Writing sexually explicit acts with anyone under the age of 18 is considered child pornography, and if Wattpad doesn't get rid of it, they will face "hefty, multimillion dollar fines" from the Canadian government. This bill is trying "to shield children from potentially harmful content" on the internet. 
          
          In short, this is not Wattpad trying to stifle anything or trying to make people angry. They are following the laws imposed by the Canadian government as they are trying to get a better control on child pornography and child trauma from reading / seeing sexually explicit actions happening with anyone under 18.

Hey guys! I just wanted to let you all know that I just posted another story even tho I said I can't really update because I'm so busy lol. But I've been planning out this story for a long time, and I finally have decided on how I want to write it. So, it'll be like a flash fiction novella piece where each section or chapter (or, in this case, each diary entry) will most likely be less than 1000 words. However, this story will span a little over a year, so there'll be a lot of diary entries written. With that being said, I'm going to update the diary entries on the days I have chosen for them, so I have time to write some of this as the next date I chose is all the way in June lol. I have loved Are You Afraid of the Dark (90s version) for a long time, and I'm finally glad I'm getting this story out. I hope you all enjoy it!
          
          Also, I wanted to let you all know that I will be taking down Blue Moon, my Draco Malfoy fanfic, because I am editing it and making it much better than it is now. I have been very unsatisfied with it for a few years now, and it's just been weighing on me and making me feel so negative about my writing lol, so I just thought I'd take it down. I don't know when it'll come out again, but for right now, it's being unpublished so I can fix everything and make it even better than it was before.

Hey guys! If you haven't noticed recently, I haven't really updated much at all in the past few weeks. I just wanted to explain that I'm so busy with school right now because I'm in the last six or so weeks of school, and that means that I have finals coming up and I have a lot of big projects I need to work on that need my attention more than writing does right now. I'll try to update when I have time or feel like it, but I make no promises about that lol. School takes priority over writing right now, but when I come back after I get less busy, I'm going to be writing more and having fun with these stories I have posted and stories I'm planning on posting. Hey guys! To the rising influx of readers and followers, welcome! To the old, steady group, hello! I have some wonderful news! Today is my 7 year anniversary of being here on Wattpad. I can't believe I've been writing on this account for 7 years! It's crazy how many stories I've put out, how many stories I've taken down, and how many wonderful stories I've read by all of you guys. It's been a wild 7 years, that's for sure, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you all for brightening my day for reading my stories and all the wonderful comments I've received throughout these 7 years! They mean everything to me! Thank you for the relationships I've cultivated on here and the friendships I've created, bonding over something I'm so incredibly passionate about. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything.
          
          As a little treat for you all, I've posted Honeydew, my Adam Davenport story. This is the last book (besides the little 4.5 I'm going to write for it after it's completed) of my Lab Rats series, and I'm so incredibly excited for it! On the other hand, though, I didn't update for Ocean Magic yesterday and I will not update this week for Simple As A Song because I'm currently dealing with midterm's week at school. I'm incredibly busy right now with a lot of projects and presentations, so I want to focus on that instead of writing. However, next week is spring break for me, so I plan on getting those chapters put out then!
