          Maybe Alex was the reason behind all this. William doubted it, though. He wasn't sure if Alex had the power to. 
          
          Speak of the devil, there was Alex now. William turned to face him. 
          
          "Alex, we have a bit of a problem."

            The nails running through his hair made his ears twitch again, more noticeably this time. 
            
            Alex always knew what buttons to press. He always knew what words to say. Whether his goal was flattery or winning the fight for dominance between the two, he always knew just what to do. 
            
            That was one of the many things William loved about Alex. His love. His devil. 
            
            "How did I end up with someone as devilishly perfect as you?"

            ❝   maybe i am.  ❞    he replied with a smile tugging onto the devils lips as he then ran his nails through Williams hair.  He loved this man so much that words cannot even describe how he feels around william.   It is just ( too much ) ,    to describe really.   Thats how much he loves this sadistic killer.   Maybe a little more sadistic than Alex himself.

            With the deepened kiss and the hands running over his ears, William couldn't hold back his noises anymore.
            
            His ears twitched slightly as he whined quietly, face flushed after Alex pulled away. 
            
            "Well, glad to see someone is enjoying this." William said with a quiet chuckle.

          William wasn't even sure what had happened. All he knew was that someone had attacked him from behind, leaving William with a stab wound to his stomach. 
          
          Not the worst thing to ever happen to him, but it still wasn't a good situation to be in. 
          
          He couldn't stand, at least not by himself. William had to grip tightly into the wall, his other hand pressed over the wound to try to stop the bleeding. 
          
          William almost didn't hear the sound of someone else approaching until they were right behind him.

            William could sense something was off. He still looked a little bit off. 
            
            He could only assume that Alex was still upset at him getting hurt while he wasn't around. And William didn't want him feeling that way. After all, there was no way to predict this was going to happen.  
            
            William looked up at Alex, tightly gripping onto his clothing. Then William pulled him in for a soft kiss. 
            
            "Don't feel bad. We couldn't have predicted this was going to happen."

            ❝no. ❞  the devil replied in a quiet voice as he moved his arms down to and around his waist ,  slightly gripping onto his waist a bit tight.  Not too tight where it would hurt him of course.  He was being as gentle as he possibly could.  He didn't want to harm him , afterall. Consideing he just patched his wound up just now. 
            ❝i am fine, my dear.❞

            Once Alex pulled him into his lap, William leaned against him, his head resting on Alex's chest. 
            
            He felt better, now that Alex was holding him. It felt nice, feeling his arms wrapped around him. 
            
            He looked up, confused at the look on Alex's face. 
            
            "Alex? Is something wrong?"

“You can’t be here… Not now.” Vanessa muttered as she quickly grabbed ahold of his arm, steering him in the opposite direction towards the exit of her apartment, a blank expression on her face. “You.. You need to leave.”
