hi guys! its ames and i just wanted to come on because some of the girls and i decided that we should make a statement about the situation that has been happening involving 2 of our former members.
we are terribly sorry to anyone and everyone who was affected by "lindsey"/zena's actions. the original members had no idea that lindsey was actually zena and had been manipulating the creators of themes, covers, and graphics. we also had no idea that she had been just purely manipulating and lying to people as well.
we were under the impression that linds was just a cool girl who was funny and nice and fun to talk to. we all knew who she was and thought she was a nice enough person to join so we said yes when she asked. it should've been a red flag from the start that she immediately wanted to be apart of the friend group/gc almost a day after meeting us individually, but we all agreed and let her, along with nova, join because they seemed cool and unproblematic. we honestly didn't know about zena or that there was even a possibility that nova knew. we pushed aside a lot of things that were suspicious, but now things are sort of adding up.
manipulation, deceit, lying, and toxic behavior as a whole is not ok and not excusable. from what we've seen and heard, zena (linds) was given chance after chance but ended up taking them for granted and throwing them away. when she was finally called out, she decided to leave wattpad and make a new account where she was pretending to be a girl named linds. there are no more chances this time.
we have decided that no new members will be allowed into the kneecaps/hourse friend group/group chat unless we have known them for a long period of time and they've proven to be unproblematic. we're sorry to anyone that might've wanted to join, but at this point in time there is a big sense of betrayal amongst the group that needs to be addressed and dealt with.
