I'm Catholic and as much as I feel for those who have been affected by the issues in Israel, the excessive bellicosity the Palestinian people have been subject to since 1967 is absolutely disgusting and only highlights the hypocrisy of our people where we suddenly become the victim after one attack when the demise of Palestine has been ongoing for many years, with UN statistics proving that the loss of life has been far greater in Palestine than in Israel each year. For Israel to cut out basic essentials and resources for those in Gaza is to prevent 2 million people from accessing basic human essentials for survival. The Western media only projects the views of their allies and does not take into consideration the pain and suffering of millions of people who have been affected by this ongoing political and religious war. The UN needs to intervene for an immediate CEASEFIRE. There can be no more delay. Under international law, atrocity crimes must not only be punished but also prevented.
