Respectfully, it isn’t at all helpful to shame someone for wanting to kill themselves. Calling it “stupid” isn’t going to make the feeling better, and it isn’t going to snap them out of it or whatever you’re hoping to do. I agree that no one should kill themselves, but implying that a reason someone would want to isn’t valid is doing more harm than good. They are hurting, a LOT, and if you want you help them, you’ll listen to them and console them, or give them genuine advice that’s not “this person has been dead for years, so it’s stupid to kill yourself over them”
