The ride home was as lively as our town's graveyard. I was glued to the door the entire time, ready to jump out the minute we got to my house or just in case he decided to bring up what Dream Hero had had no problem discussing. I clutched the door handle like it was a lifeline and prayed it wouldn't result in me jumping out of a moving car.

          Hero didn't seem to notice.

It was clear that his mind was somewhere else. He didn't try to talk to me like he had done back in class which was good because all that I could think about was the fact that he had friendzoned me and that he had gotten Melissa's name wrong.

I wanted to correct him so bad that I just—

"It's Melissa." I blurted out the minute I got out of the car. "The girl Donovan's with, her name is Melissa. Not Melinda."

"Okay? Potato Tomato." was his response. He looked at my hand that was still clutching the car door before looking back at me. "Can I go now?"

"It's actually," I chuckled nervously, letting go of the door. "It's, um, tomato—Potato Potato and Tomato Tomato but I get your confusion—"

          "Harley."

          "Hm?"

"Close the door." He muttered and I scrambled to do just that before rushing to get inside so that I could scream into my pillow at how ridiculous I had just been."Harley." He called out once more and I screeched to a halt like an unoiled robot, waiting for him to speak.

"Check your messages once in a while." He mumbled. "Otherwise exchanging numbers would be pointless, wouldn't it?"

@The_Pirate_Pen oh my gosh, I am super sorry. I was in a terrible mood when I posted that, and that is not what I meant at all. I have no idea what I was thinking, but that is not an excuse. The reason I assumed you were advertising and not actually really interested was because I had recently received a bunch of scams, and again my mind was all over the place. Informing you that I was deleting it was me trying to be polite, because mistakenly I thought you were advertising or something. I am seriously so sorry.

@0pal3sc3ntR0s3 I wasn't promoting on your page, but rather inviting you to read my book. The message was clearly sent to you so why would you assume that I'm trying to get other people's validation on YOUR page?? If you're not interested, you could simply say so, delete this,or ignore it but you went out of your way to hint that I'm a rude individual (I doubt you actually care that much) AND inform me that you were deleting it. Go right ahead then. I'm nobody's punching bag and there's a way to tell someone you don't appreciate their invites without straight up insulting and belittling them. I hope you grow from this behavior and I promise not to bother you again.

Hello! Sorry, but I will be deleting your message in about a week’s time, just because it feels a little rude to just randomly delete someone’s message without informing them, though I doubt you actually care that much. I don’t particularly like having someone promote their book on my page without permission. If you would like to keep it up here for some strange reason, because frankly you gain nothing from posting here given that like, no one ever looks on here, please repost it with my permission. Thanks.
