I'm a bit late on this, but...

          	Happy Mar10 Day!!!

I have the next chapter of MTJaS Re:Written in the works! Should be published sometime today or tomorrow!

Also, another update about my Gen 9 idea for the story: I want to include a new area in Glass's world. It's gonna be based on Area Zero! And because of that, I may just include some existing paradox Pokemon as well as some fanmade ones!

I haven't updated More Than Just a Shield Re:Written in a while since I've been focusing on something big: a move to Colorado. My dad is retiring from the Navy in a few months and already has a job at a small hospital in a dinky little town nestled in the Rockies (not gonna say which town for privacy reasons, but I love it here). I've also been looking for a job in the area, and I should have one lined up at that same hospital, just stocking shelves and whatnot.

But anyway, I've been coming up with some ideas for MTJaS Re:Written. Mainly concerning the arc in which Aris and the others end up in Glass's world. If you read the original, you'll remember that Pokemon play a big part, replacing the Shikigami from the original anime/light novel (Kizuna's penguin Shikigami was a Piplup for example). That'll return, and I may add onto it as well. For one, I've been into Gen 9 recently. Like, REALLY into Gen 9. I love it. So I may have Terastallization be present in Glass's world like it is in Paldea and Kitakami. Actually, speaking of Kitakami, I may write a small side story set after the final battle of the anime's second season, and I'm thinking about basing it on the Teal Mask DLC from Scarlet/Violet. And yes, Ogerpon may make an appearance!

So, thoughts on the Super Bowl.

On one hand, Taylor Swift might put out a new banger dedicated to Travis Kelce if the Chiefs win. I'm no Swiftie, but my sister kinda is and I think she'd find it cool.

On the other hand, it's gonna be so funny to see all the Swifties crying on Twitter/X if the 49ers win. But then again, some of them are so terminally obsessed with Taylor that they might somehow mail Brock Purdy a live pipe bomb or something.

I'm a bit late announcing about this, but last July I had the biggest trip of my life.

I've lived in the U.S. all my life, and that month was the first time I ever left. Two years earlier, I had signed up for an educational tour of Europe, which would take me through France, Italy, Monaco, and the Vatican. Last July was the month I finally got to go on that trip.

I still remember the day my mom dropped me off at the airport. I still remember landing in Paris (Charles de Gaulle International Airport, to be exact) and being so excited to be standing on French soil. I have a lot of pictures from Paris, Versailles, the Louvre, and so many other wonderful areas of France.

And I haven't even mentioned Italy and the Vatican yet. I got to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, Florence (my favorite part of the trip), and of course Rome!

Every day of that trip was a fucking blast - even near the end when we got stuck in Germany for 2 days. For context, our plan was to fly from Rome to Frankfurt to home, but our plane broke down in Frankfurt and we ended up stuck there. Luckily the airport hooked us up with a swanky hotel to stay in for the night, and I was in the first batch of people to go home. I was glad to be back on American soil at the time, but I miss Europe already. There's still so many places I wanna see! Spain, Germany, even the UK (which I know isn't technically a part of Europe anymore).

Tears of the Kingdom releases in about half an hour (in my time zone). So, I wanna take a moment to pay some respects to Breath of the Wild.

It was my first Zelda game, and the second game I got for my Switch. A week or two after I got my Switch (and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe), I asked my dad if we had any money left over from when I had been saving up for it. He said we did, and he told me he'd pick up a second Switch game during an errand run. He later came back from his errands with another pair of Joycons and a copy of Breath of the Wild.

I was curious; I'd never played a Zelda game before, so I decided to give it a try.

And, needless to say, I fell in love with it.

The freedom, the story, the exploration...all of it just captivated me. And don't even get me started on the graphics. It may be cel-shading, but Breath of the Wild has gorgeous visuals for a Nintendo console.

I played the game until the end and got the DLC a few years later. I completed all the side quests and conquered every Sheikah Shrine. I didn't finish hunting all the Koroks, but I tried.

I remember the day Breath of the Wild's as-of-yet unnamed sequel was first teased, back in summer 2019. I was so excited. Probably more than I'd ever been for anything.

I remember waiting all those years for brief trailer after brief trailer and being elated to see the title reveal: Tears of the Kingdom.

And now...here we are. I'm on the verge of playing the game I've waited for since I was in middle school. I'm about to graduate, so it's a little poetic. I'm reaching an end to an era of my life, and now, the Zelda series is reaching an end to an era of its own.

Tears of the Kingdom will likely be talked about for years - maybe decades - to come. But to me, Breath of the Wild will always hold a place in my heart.

Because, like courage, Breath of the Wild need not be remembered.

          For it is never forgotten.
