Hi hi, I have been doing pretty alright, thank you for asking! Been wanting to do more writing and get back into it; it's a work in progress, haha. Apologies for the late reply. Your message didn't show up in my notifications :^(
And I appreciate you for saying that! I would say that the most important thing (personally for me) is to always write because you genuinely want to and are "feeling" it. Similarly, only write about content that you genuinely want to write about. A big part of how my writing style came to be is by reading a lot and studying the way various writers sounded in their works and their overall style. From there, I kept writing and writing until I developed a style I truly liked for myself
Also, as a little side note: if you can, do a little writing every day. It doesn't have to be for long--even a minimum of five minutes daily is a good step. You can do poetry, a descriptor of a subject matter, a short story prompt, working a bit on your chapter for a book, etc.
Just like how every writer is different in their style and voice, every reader is different too. So while some readers may enjoy the way you write, others may not, and that is okay! Write what you enjoy, and write the way you want to write
Definitely go for your book idea, + never feel discouraged if you don't receive much views or engagement. It's often a slow journey for many writers to even get a decent amount of readers, and even more difficult to get readers who stay for every update and chapter. I hope you have been super well yourself! :^) ♡
