Just watched the new PJO Disney+ series. Huge letdown but let’s be honest, not really all that surprising seeing how far Uncle Rick has fallen from his glory days. Hopefully we’ll get an actual good adaptation in animation sometime within the next decade.

the series is a letdown but not really sucky or trash, just mid. It just had much more potential that it couldn't meet. I've met a lot of exaggerations tho like the movie was better than the show, like there's at least 70 issues with the movie

@TheForthWallBreaker the idea that the budget was the issue is heinous imo. there are several 50+ min Game of Thrones episodes with large scale war fight scenes that need way more CGI that look fantastic. Disney just sucks and so does the PJO show.

@AnaklusmosX Tbf a lot of the things that are bad come down to budget restraints. It felt rushed bc there wasn’t enough to make more/ longer episodes. The cgi was bad because good CGI is expensive. The acting is bad but for child actors it’s pretty Ok. The appearance of the characters kinda sucks but they do have the personality if you look at it from a different angle. All in all the show was kinda a let down, but we let our expectations get too high. I give the show a 6.5/10
