When will there be updates to the storyline from chapter 10 and the other story from chapter 14 for, “take my hand”?

ArcanineTales100

@HornetProductions Hello! Thank you for the question! The finale really threw me for a loop, so currently I am brainstorming for a new story that explores what could happen in Season 4. I still haven't given up on Take my Hand, but currently I can't say when I'll be able to update it. Thank you for your support though! <3

Ok, I just have to say this. Your Darksteel story is absolutely crushing it. The only flaw in it is that it isn’t finished. As a writer myself, I know how such frivolous and unnecessary things like life and work and school and other things like that can get in the way of writing a story. I’m just sending you this letting you know that I love it and you have gotten me to write my own Darksteel fanfic. If you want to discuss anything with a fellow writer, then I would love to have a conversation. I might just be a bit secretive on certain things if you ask me about my fanfic though. I will tip my hand, but not show it entirely.

@Skourpi1 That's odd. But yeah, I can try. What's yours?

Heya!

I read your Reylo back a while back (it’s amazing, by the way) and I’m working on a book myself...

Well, more like trying to. Writer’s block is really annoying.

Anyway, it’s a fanfiction and I’m not really sure how to get started with it again (I’m rewriting) and plan the book the storyline and book.

How did you do it? Your story seemed really well planned out and it made perfect sense in my mind. Could you give me some tips?

          Thanks!
          Livi

Thank you so much for replying!

I’ll definitely try all your tips for my story... I was contemplating just starting over entirely or just giving up, but you gave me a lot of hope :D

@LiviJay3 Hey I'm glad you liked my story! As for tips, well that's a tough one. I think it might be different for everyone, but I can tell you what helped me.

Point of Light took me nearly two years to finish and you can bet I had my fair share of writer's block to deal with. What I found that works the best is to immerse myself in the fandom, thankfully Star Wars has no shortage of content. Whenever I would get stuck, I'd just watch some Clone Wars, Rebels, the movies, etc.

I also gained a lot of knowledge and inspiration from Girls With Sabers on youtube. :)

As for plot and storyline, I always start out by jotting down the most important scenes that I want to see accomplished, even if those are going to be used near the end of the story. Those can be like a goal for you to reach, as well as a guidepost, something to keep you from wandering off the plot too much. For example, you know that scene in PoL where Rey fights Vallis and Ben pulls down a Destroyer? I had that planned from the brainstorming stage and I was always really excited to reach that point.

Don't be afraid to change things as you go, but keep the core elements that are most important to you. I think everybody does this. Stories grow and change as you write and think of better ideas.

As for writer's block, if delving into the fandom doesn't work for you and still find yourself staring at a blank page or keep opening and closing the file in the hopes that something will have changed (yes I've done this countless times) then I suggest skipping ahead of that pesky scene and try writing something more fun, like a later scene you had planned, then just try to slowly fill in the gaps. Odds are, you will most likely be able to come back to the troublesome spot and fill it in later.

            That's all I got, MTFBY! ^-^

You are such an amazing writer! I hope you write more soon, I'd love to read more!

@LiviJay3 Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it! I completely understand not being able to get into the vibe of writing... I'm dealing with that myself after TROS. I actually have this entire plot worked out for another Reylo story but... sigh. The fire is gone. The disappointment and depression after TROS was just too much. T-T

Anywho, thanks again for reading! Peace, Love and Reylo! :D

@ArcanineTales100 I watched TROS on the day it came out here, I was so excited. I was a tiny bit let down (okay, a lot) by the ending to the trilogy. :(

I started to write a Reylo fanfic myself, being inspired by your story XD, but I just couldn't vibe with it, you know? After TROS I kinda just lost my mojo to write about Star Wars. U_U

Anyway, I absolutely adore your writing style, and hope you get on to writing many, many more amazing stories like your Reylo one! ^0^

I hope you enjoy the rest of the story! Thanks again for the kind words! You made my day. :)

And yes, I am actually working on a new story right now for The Dragon Prince. As I said, I need some time away from SW, and TDP, specifically Rayllum, has captured my heart. :3

            Anywho, happy reading! :D
