Lavender Arbour

I'M BAAACCKKK. I last wrote poetry on this account when I was 12, deeply depressed and struggling with my mental health. I wrote content about self harm, relationship trauma, and eating disorders. I was big into dark, emotional poetry to try to find an outlet for my feels. I'm 14 years older now, going onto chapter 26 of my life. That dark place still lives inside me, closed up in a wooden box in the back of my mind. I've felt the monster tapping at the corners lately, trying to claw its way out. I've decided to begin writing again to release some pressure and avoid letting my mental boxes shatter to pieces. Since you last saw me, I've been married twice, experienced love and loss, and a whole lot of friendship and family trauma. I will likely be exploring poetry about these themes, as well as writing in a different genre. I've fallen in love with romantic fantasy and made the decision to write a book myself. In my exploration of this new writing experience, I will be posting short stories here and there as I navigate this genre and learn to write in that universe. I love and appreciate all of my old followers, and if any of you are still here 14 years later, please drop in to say hello. I think we may have a lot in common.
