Writing since 12 or 13 years old. I once loathed reading and writing, struggling with terrible handwriting and unable to even write in cursive. I discovered my love of reading writing in fifth grade as an escape after winding up friendless the year before. Told good grades were what mattered and my writing shoved aside constantly as simply a hobby I am determined to make something of this lone skill I have.
Books connect and link people. Take you away to worlds where even someone like you can be a hero. Where someone like you can be strong and brave. Where you feel you can belong. They're an escape from the chaos and worries of this world we live in. A window to another place.
I want to write things people can relate to. That can bring people together. Give those struggling like I have hope. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to reach out and find it. Discover what you're good at and chase that. It's what I'm trying to do.
