I've moved on from DC / Batman stuff, but the fics y'all write will forever be unmatched

Like legitimately no other fandom I've been in since could capture the atmosphere as perfectly as this one has

Y'all in a fever dream I imagined someone asking me to continue an old fan fic that I completely dropped after posting one chapter (on Ao3). I did have an outline sketched out and I wrote a decent amount of chapter 2, but I had no intention of coming back to it.

Today I woke up and decided to look over what I wrote and I actually really liked it. What the hecky usually its the opposite

I'm I the only one with the inability to move on when writing a story?
All my writer friends say, they get things on the notebook and keep going without a second thought or any form of editing. While I'm just sitting there adding the tiniest little detail into every single part, and I ponder over that tiny part for days before moving on, bearly getting anywhere. Y'all, help a pal out, is it just me?

I get like this too. Sometimes, I cannot get past one little detail, or figure out who to get from point A to point B. When that happens, I have to force myself to write the whole scene out, just the bare minimum, even if it makes no sense to anyone else but me, I write it out and then go back and add all the descriptions or rewrite it or whatever. Even if it’s the worst writing you’ve ever done, don’t see it as that, see it as progress in your story. Even ten words added is progress! The Count of Monte Cristo wasn’t written in a day! ♥️
